Emily Sweetheart - Though I don't know you - only heard of you today after the hurtful, unfortunate thing that happened to you today - I hope you are not feeling too awful and that in spite of this terrible, deliberate hurt inflicted on you, that you recover and continue to create your BEAUTIFUL work - your visual work, and the work you have so bravely done today - One day the person who shot at you today will meet you and ask for your forgiveness...I love you - God loves you, the Divine Mother and the Divine Father in One - May He/She uphold you with infinite love, and joy and strength, and do the same for your immediate family - and your wider family in Palestine and all around the world...Much love -Get Well Soon!

I just heard about you today in The Guardian and I would like to say what a great human being you are in your desire to help an oppressed fellow human being. I pray and hope you to get better.
I am really touched about what happened. It is a shame. You are one of my heroes. Let me express my feelings in my own language - and maybe one day I can translate it:
Eu sinto muito pelo que aconteceu. Estou absolutamente comovido. Fica com todo o meu carinho - e eu queria muito poder estar perto e te dar um abraço. Eu tenho vergonha do mundo em que vivo.

Dear Emily Jesus fuck I am sorry for what they have done to you. I am a fellow cartoonist who cares for Palestine and I promise that you are never alone and we will all keep making art, you and I and millions around the world until all people are free.
Everyone around the world considers you to be a heroine after what you were willing to sacrifice for a just cause. I pray that after this incident, America will adjust their political activity in the region appropriately. inshAllah khair. Get well soon. You are appreciated around the world.
I hope the best for your family as well, I can only imagine the emotional rollercoaster one takes after these events.
I am so sorry to hear about your terrible injury. Your bravery is not in vain. The violence inflicted on you is a sign of the grotesque nature of occupation.
I am touched by your exquisite artistic creativity. I pray that you may still be able to find solace and enjoyment in this gift for many years to come. I pray for healing.
Hey Emily I just want to wish you all the best, hope you recover well so you can continue to show all your strength to the world. Keep your spirit high and know that millions of us are with you.
Best wishes and kisses from a comrade and friend here in Portugal
Just another one who wish you quick recovery. I am very touched by your story and your bravery. Wish the world has more people like you, it would be much better place.
keep your spirits and keep fighting for your believes.
I'm so sorry to hear what happened to you. I think everyone who has read your story was angered over Israel's violent actions and touched by your dedication to Palestinian rights.
Please know that the world is not deaf. That many of us know your pain and are with you.
I don't know you, but we share a few things: an alma mater, a love of art, feeling the weight of injustice. But, God, you're a good deal braver than I am. Be well. Recover soon.

your sacrifice will not go unrewarded ... rewards will come in time in strange and unexpected ways ... always be true to yourself and you will see with more than eyes
Dear Emily--I hope your recovery is smooth, and that you heal easily in body and mind. Your vision is so wide, deep and true that no objects of hate can destroy it. Abiding best wishes to you and yours, L.
As many others have said, your courage is inspiring. You have put into practice what many of us are not brave enough to do ourselves. You are a true hero to me.
Dear Emily! I have felt your pain! Thank you so much for doing what you have been doing for palestinians, for innocent, for tortured and killed and for us (non-activists yet)as well! It is because of people like you that we learn about there injustices. And we will rise and we will affect our governments... You are a beautiful person, because you are capable of seeing things and feeling things through your heart!!! You are trully special! Please please don't get discouraged!Bad things happen in life, but we overcome them to become stronger ! PLease get well soon phyically and emotionally, and continue your activism and you beautiful art paintings! Remember Degas had one eye and has produced amazing paintings.
http://www.losteye.com/message_forum1/viewforum.php?f=24 Very warm regards from London, Vilena (Russia)
I'm so sorry about what they did to you, and for all the other victims of that brutal regime. Hopefully one day, thanks in part to your brave sacrifice, the "Might is Right" immorality of Israel's government will be replaced with something more humane. Get well soon!
Wanted to wish you a quick recovery. Your story is very sad. I'm not sure why you chose to be there, as an American citizen, why not Afghanistan or Iraq? but I respect your choice as long as you didn't take an active part in any violent event.
All the best! I hope the people who did this to you will be punished.
I hope for your complete recovery and that you continue to create great art, standing up for your beliefs and inspiring others. I believe you are one who truly sees with her heart. Please don't let this experience change that.
My dear Emily, While this will probably not be much comfort the rest of us in the arts community are thinking about you tonight and hoping for your swift recovery. While you ave suffered the wound it is all of us who were attacked and it's time this never happens again. Rest well and come back to us.
Hey ShonAndSedona, It is really disrespectful of you to praise a Country which took her Eye. May God punish you and haters like you who carry on these atrocities.
After reading some of these posts, I have to ask myself, Who left the door open at the looney farm? Confucius says if you play with terrorists, you might get blown up. The Israelis have every right to defend themselves. You morons probably think we owe an apology to the Taliban for dropping a few bombs on their heads.
from one art student to another: you've still got one good eye. keep making work. keep fighting. thank you for putting things in perspective; reminding me why art is relevent and important. i really hope you get better very soon. your work (both what you do and what you make) is really powerful, really has the potential to change things. your story has really had an effect on me and i wish you the best in everything you do.
Dearest Emily, Get better soon dear! Everyone here thinks and talks about you, we all love you dearly!!! it's my first time on your blog and i'm so happy to see how productive you've been. i love you and your work and your amazing work ethic! I want you back very very soon. love always, masha.
I'm sorry that so many people had to come across your work and admire it right at this moment but I am glad that they have because your work deserves their admiration. Masha above me there is not exaggerating when she says you're in everyone's thoughts.
While you are obviously a talented person who suffered a loss, I can't help but wonder why you would help a cause that allows the indiscriminate launching of rockets at innocents in Israel.
But for the grace of God all of my family would have died in the concentration camps. I stand with Israel.
She had it coming. You can't go protesting something like that and not expect to get hit in the face. Israelis are the only ones stopping the terrorists (You know...the "freedom fighters" who kill their own people). Maybe if everybody stepped up on the matter like the Israelis did we wouldn't have this problem in the first place. Instead of actually helping out Hamas. Fucking idiots...
Anyway I'm sorry to hear about your eye. Nice artwork.
HI Emily, I'm trying to reach you for an interview for the Jewish Forward newspaper. Could you send me a note and let me know how you can be reached? Thanks, Nathan guttman@forward.com
Get well soon, Emily. You are a true hero. Please ignore the cruel and hateful comments from the cowards. As you can see, the people wishing you well far outnumber them. Thank you for being the amazing person that you are. I hope to one day being as half as brave as you are.
Hey Emily can you tell your terrorist friends not to leave threatening comments on my blog? Let me remind you that I think Sean Penn from Bad Boys was some of the best acting ever, so I'm on your side in a weird way. Thanks
Lots of love and hugs to you Emily, very sorry to hear of your injury. FWIW, a lot of the really cool, groundbreaking film directors from the 40's, 50's and 60's only had one eye and still directed a lot of visually stylish and influential films, I think John Ford, Andre de Toth and a few others (the latter even did a 3D flick or two). Your paintings are cool and so are you, and brave too. xx best wishes from Melbourne, Australia.
Emily, I hope the inner strength and beauty that comes pouring out through your art carries you through this difficult time. Thank you for your courage and your deep commitment to peace. There are so many New York Jews that used to be part of a progressive force for justice who have chosen to turn a blind eye to Israel's human rights atrocities. I am not a religious person but I believe those Jews have abandoned the tradition of who we once were as a people and who we must be again. In this moment of great personal suffering, I hope you can find some comfort that a movement here in New York City and around the world loves you and honors you for what you have done. Jeannette Gabriel
Emily, Your art is fabulous, more importantly you are clearly who stands up for what they believe in, a quality rare now and one that inspires. I wish you the best of luck and speediests of recoveries. I am so sorry this happened to you.
I am very sorry to lose your eye. Get well soon and you are hero for people who support peace in the World. You are my hero, you are Palestinian children's hero.
Your courage is an inspiration to countless persons around the world, especially as you undergo a recovery that is impossible for me to imagine or fully comprehend. My sincerest condolences to you and your loved ones. We are with you in spirit and will continue to demand justice for the people of Gaza. Peace be with you.
i feel sorry for your injuries, and i hope you have a full recovery.
but why dont you blog on how you ended up in the west bank
how you lied to the customs agents when entering israel.
how you were trained by the ism to lie, obfuscate and deceive.
i do hope that you have a full recovery...so that it will be much quicker for israel to deport you right back to america.
your days of being an instigator are over.
did you even spend one day in israel? spend any time with an israeli family? give of yourself to an israeli family who is in need of assistance? did you even care?
did you visit with any israeli victims of arab terrorism?
my god, did your parent even give you the basics of jewish life? do you know the aleph bet and where your people come from?
Like most others on here, I do not know you personally. One cannot imagine the pain you must be going through nor the sacrifice you gave. You stood by the victims to correct a world filled with injustice, only to suffer an equal injustice yourself. While no words can ever heal your pain, know this:
This world is going to Hell in a bullet train, if not for people like you who are slowing it down and hopefully one day, turn it around.
I don't know what I can say to you. I love your website and I admire you and am sorry for what happened to you. I hope to hear from you here about how you're doing and see more great work soon.
Hey please tell your crazy people you defend to stop making threats on my blog. I am on your side Im a protester too, I am currently protesting the new Karate Kid movie because it is blasphemous to make a remake of such agreat original.
Emily! We met in Al Walaja and Sheikh Jarrah, I'm a Canadian activist who went to Bil'in for a conference in April/May. I'm in Halifax, Canada now, and I'm just seeing your art work for the first time. It's very inspiring! I'm amazed at your bravery in front of the bulldozer in Al Walaja, in front of the settlers in Sheikh Jarrah and now at Qalandiya. Your bravery is now being shown around the world, and I think we're all very proud of you. This Saturday is a global day of action, and here in Halifax I'll be sure to talk about you to the people who stand in solidarity with Palestine. I also want to share with them your art work! hugs and love, david
Hi Emily, good people of the world, Muslim brothers and sisters. There are still some of us real Jews left in the world, even after the empire tortured us, hunted us, and murdered millions of us to make it seem like the only way to survive was for us all move to a ghetto in the land of our ancient home, and bind our identity to the political nation-state flag of modern "Israel." But there are still some of us that will never bow to fear, and will never agree to join a cycle of abuse, that love our fellow men more than anything, and serve only G-d, and not a flag. Our identity comes from G-d and serving him in kindness, compassion, and peace. We honour your strength. Yvarecht'cha Ad-nai V'Yishmerecha. Alhamdulillah. -Yael
I am so sorry about what happened to you and I hope you feel better soon surrounded by the love of your family and friends.
You are an extraordinary young woman and a hero. You have fantastic artistic promise, you are extremely privileged with your life in front of you and the world at your fingertips and yet you show so much bravery and compassion for others at such a young age.
Get well soon. I suspect that there will be many others like me who really look forward to buying a piece of your inspirational and beautiful art. You are destined for greatness.
Some people here and elsewhere have made cruel and callous remarks, but I hope that doesn't obscure the appreciation and regard the rest of us have for you.
I've been following the Mideast tragedy for some years and, as some others have said, your story somehow broke through and moved me.
You and the other members of the Solidarity Movement are true modern day heroes, people with the courage to stand up for what's right, courage I can't match.
Emily, you are a creator and creation never passes away. It is destruction that is truly temporary. Get well soon. All the love we can send without it being creepy.
I am totally shocked hearing about the disrespectful stupid action of Israel armies to the talented art civilian student like yourself and others as well.
So sorry about the beautiful eye is gone. The whole world and I speechless and angry about what they had done to you. Be brave, get well and look forward to hear from you soon!xxx
hy Emily i heard trough an italian friend Enzo, who's is an activist in palestina like you, what is happened to you.. i can understand expecially for an artist what means to lose the use of one eye... i'm with you with the cause you suppert in palestine, i'm totally shocked from the news i heard from people in palestine.. big rispect best wishes from italy marina
My suggestion to Emily and others who really want to feel useful in the world is that you join the Peace Corps. You'll have to actually do stuff, of course--they won't laud you for just standing on the edge and blogging, but at least you'll be able to say honestly that you were part of something good and made a difference.
A day's worth of actual work on behalf of the poor and sick is worth years of just standing around pretending to be part of someone else's fight like you kids are doing in Israel. Sure, you consider yourselves to be brave, but seriously--you're bothering the Israelis for a reason: You know that they won't deliberately hurt you. If you were really fearless or self-sacrificing, you'd be protesting in Iran, North Korea or China on behalf of people who are really and truly oppressed. But that's not chic like fronting Israel off on behalf of the terrorist Hamas types, and it's really dangerous.
I'd also suggest joining the US military if you really want a chance to help make the world a better place, but with that eye thing, that option's pretty much off the table.
Heck, just come home, get a job, go to college, find a husband, and raise up some kids like a normal woman. Even now, there's some real nice guy out there whose laundry isn't going to wash itself.
I admire your bravery and resolve and am so sorry to hear about the injury these Israeli terrorists have caused you, I hope it’ll heal quickly. The day of reckoning will come, possibly not for the swine who shot at you, its Israel we are talking about, but for the murderous system this brutal apartheid state is operating with. Your endeavours in bringing an end to this inhumane situation in Palestine will not have been in vain.
My thoughts are with you at this difficult time and if there is anything I from down here in Australia can do for you, please sing out.
Pay no attention to the neanderthals and other unquestioning supporters of violence and apartheid. Your stance was brave, and people the world over are praying for you, and for a peaceful resolution.
You folks saying "God bless you" do realize that Emily has rejected God, don't you? Back in 2007, she even posted Youtube videos to denounce God as part of an internet organized blasphemy campaign and she spoke to the New York Times about it as well.
"Emily Henochowicz, an 18-year-old who denied God with a wry smile in her video, is among those who find the videos an interesting way to talk through the issues of religion and faith.
Ms. Henochowicz, who was raised as a Jew, said she began questioning the concepts of God and faith after the death of her grandfather a few years ago. A high school senior, she formerly attended a Hebrew school and prayed to God but felt unclear about what happened to someone after death.
After much consideration, she decided to stop believing in “mysticism,” including God."
Very sad. Pray that she wakes up and comes back around.
The World is with you - and the World salutes you! You are a hero and a champion for your giving so much for the people of Gaza! Already, Israel is starting to change and your actions will cause a further change!
Asking God to bless someone could mean guiding her to the righteous path. With that said, assuming what you say is true; an Atheist with a moral compass like Emily is a thousand times better than a person committing aggression in the name of God (no matter which Religion they belong to).
God bless you Emily. Especially since you have the courage to stand against the injustice your own people are taking part in.
People with sense and sensibility around the world wish you a speed recovery. There are many other fights in the future to battle with love, courage and art.
I'm terribly sorry to hear about what happened to you. You are a noble and courageous person, a true hero, and an inspiration to all those who fight for justice and human rights all over the world.
I'm an Israeli peace activist, and I am deeply ashamed and horrified by the criminal actions of my government. I sincerely hope that your sacrifice will help to finally bring justice to the Palestinians, which will in turn lead to a just and lasting peace in Israel/Palestine. I also hope that you recover from your injuries as quickly as possible, and resume your wonderful artistic work.
I've only heard about you from the news and I applaud you for your brave act in standing strong against them. They may take your eye but they can never take what truly matters, your beliefs.
Godspeed in recovery and thank you for everything.
Thanks for taking a stand - many of us around the world were protesting with you. We continue to stand with the people of Palestine and with you. Stay strong, recover, keep up the work - both political and artistic.
With all my appreciations for your courage.. All my admirations for your standing up voice.. All my envy for you to make your name to be allways remembered into the side of the humanity.. And with all my sadness for what happened, for what THEY did.. I beg to you.. Please do never stop.. Taylan Torin
Just wanted to add my voice to the many, many others who will be sending you love, prayers, and well-wishes through this ordeal. Stay strong. I'm proud of my home-town girl for being so courageous. We will fight for justice for you, Emily! You and your family have our support and love. You are, and will be in my thoughts every single day. Though I realize something has been unjustly taken from you that you can't get back, I know new doors will open into your wonderful, creative soul, much the way they did for Frida Kahlo, who also suffered a terrible injury and who ultimately triumphed despite it. Lots of Love, Joan
Emily, I'm very sorry that this happened to you. I am a Zionist Jew and believe that we need to acknowledge the injustices we are committing in Israel/Palestine and need to work for change. I wish you a quick recovery.
I read just recently that "Courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at its testing point." – CS Lewis Thank you for demonstrating that he was right.
Get well soon Emily and by all means keep up the fight.
ReplyDeleteEmily, you are taking us into the future: A big shout out to you from Vancouver Canada

ReplyDeletestay defiant!
Emily.
ReplyDeleteWanted to wish you a quick recovery. Your story is very sad.
I'm not sure why you chose to be there, as an American citizen, why not Afghanistan or Iraq?
but I respect your choice as long as you didn't take an active part in any violent event.
All the best!
I hope the people who did this to you will be punished.
Yoni, Israel
I hope for your complete recovery and that you continue to create great art, standing up for your beliefs and inspiring others. I believe you are one who truly sees with her heart. Please don't let this experience change that.

My dear Emily,
ReplyDeleteWhile this will probably not be much comfort the rest of us in the arts community are thinking about you tonight and hoping for your swift recovery. While you ave suffered the wound it is all of us who were attacked and it's time this never happens again. Rest well and come back to us.

Dear Emily,
ReplyDeleteYour work is beautiful.
I'm sorry about what happened.
Get well soon!
I thank GOD you didn't end up another "Rachel Corrie" - Sending my love, I'm PROUD OF YOU.

ReplyDeleteHey ShonAndSedona,
ReplyDeleteIt is really disrespectful of you to praise a Country which took her Eye. May God punish you and haters like you who carry on these atrocities.
Best of luck towards a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteShe did not need that eye anyway lol, and may Allah kiss me right on my behind!
ReplyDeletePeople are going to try and get their digs in about politics or what they believe - but the important thing is that you recover and keep making art.
ReplyDeleteLiterally the only things that matter on the appropriate scale.
I wish you for speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading some of these posts, I have to ask myself, Who left the door open at the looney farm? Confucius says if you play with terrorists, you might get blown up. The Israelis have every right to defend themselves. You morons probably think we owe an apology to the Taliban for dropping a few bombs on their heads.
ReplyDeletefrom one art student to another: you've still got one good eye. keep making work. keep fighting. thank you for putting things in perspective; reminding me why art is relevent and important. i really hope you get better very soon. your work (both what you do and what you make) is really powerful, really has the potential to change things. your story has really had an effect on me and i wish you the best in everything you do.
ReplyDeleteDearest Emily,
ReplyDeleteGet better soon dear! Everyone here thinks and talks about you, we all love you dearly!!!
it's my first time on your blog and i'm so happy to see how productive you've been. i love you and your work and your amazing work ethic!
I want you back very very soon.
love always,

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful creative mind you have- such wonderful art is a joy to behold. Get better and come and visit us in the UK!
I'm sorry that so many people had to come across your work and admire it right at this moment but I am glad that they have because your work deserves their admiration. Masha above me there is not exaggerating when she says you're in everyone's thoughts.
ReplyDelete"Play with the bull and you'll get hooked by the horns..."
ReplyDeleteWhile you are obviously a talented person who suffered a loss, I can't help but wonder why you would help a cause that allows the indiscriminate launching of rockets at innocents in Israel.
ReplyDeleteBut for the grace of God all of my family would have died in the concentration camps.
ReplyDeleteAnyway I'm sorry to hear about your eye. Nice artwork.
I blogged about your incident here: Lagniappe's Lair
ReplyDeleteI do hope that you get well soon, and please--stay out of other people's fights from now on.
HI Emily,
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to reach you for an interview for the Jewish Forward newspaper. Could you send me a note and let me know how you can be reached?
Thanks,

What beautiful art.
ReplyDeleteBe well Emily, thank you for all you do.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon, Emily. You are a true hero. Please ignore the cruel and hateful comments from the cowards. As you can see, the people wishing you well far outnumber them. Thank you for being the amazing person that you are. I hope to one day being as half as brave as you are.
ReplyDeleteHey Emily can you tell your terrorist friends not to leave threatening comments on my blog? Let me remind you that I think Sean Penn from Bad Boys was some of the best acting ever, so I'm on your side in a weird way.
ReplyDeleteThanks

Lots of love and hugs to you Emily, very sorry to hear of your injury. FWIW, a lot of the really cool, groundbreaking film directors from the 40's, 50's and 60's only had one eye and still directed a lot of visually stylish and influential films, I think John Ford, Andre de Toth and a few others (the latter even did a 3D flick or two). Your paintings are cool and so are you, and brave too. xx best wishes from Melbourne, Australia.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a strong and rapid recovery Ms. Henochowicz. Your artwork is truly fantastic and your bravery and idealism deeply admirable.

ReplyDeleteEmily,
ReplyDeleteYour art is fabulous, more importantly you are clearly who stands up for what they believe in, a quality rare now and one that inspires. I wish you the best of luck and speediests of recoveries. I am so sorry this happened to you.
Emily,
ReplyDeleteI am very sorry to lose your eye. Get well soon and you are hero for people who support peace in the World. You are my hero, you are Palestinian children's hero.
Hey Emily I hope you get well soon your art so amazing I'm really sorry you will be in heaven for sure
ReplyDeleteEmily,
ReplyDeleteYour courage is an inspiration to countless persons around the world, especially as you undergo a recovery that is impossible for me to imagine or fully comprehend. My sincerest condolences to you and your loved ones. We are with you in spirit and will continue to demand justice for the people of Gaza. Peace be with you.
emily,
ReplyDeletei feel sorry for your injuries, and i hope you have a full recovery.
but why dont you blog on how you ended up in the west bank
how you lied to the customs agents when entering israel.
how you were trained by the ism to lie, obfuscate and deceive.
i do hope that you have a full recovery...so that it will be much quicker for israel to deport you right back to america.
your days of being an instigator are over.
did you even spend one day in israel? spend any time with an israeli family? give of yourself to an israeli family who is in need of assistance? did you even care?
did you visit with any israeli victims of arab terrorism?
my god, did your parent even give you the basics of jewish life? do you know the aleph bet and where your people come from?
this is such a sad story
get well....and go home
When you participate in a violent riot, you have to anticipate this kind of thing.
ReplyDeleteDear Emily,
ReplyDeleteLike most others on here, I do not know you personally.
God speed, get well, and may God bless you.
An Iraqi from Canada.
Dear Emily,
ReplyDeleteThank you for doing what you did. Stay strong despite all the hatred, and never question the justice of your actions. You are a hero to many.
PS. We're seriously like a decade away from robotic eyes. It might be a good idea to remain hopeful that this is a temporary problem.
I don't know what I can say to you. I love your website and I admire you and am sorry for what happened to you. I hope to hear from you here about how you're doing and see more great work soon.

ReplyDeleteDear Ms. Henochowicz,
ReplyDeleteNothing one can say can make up for the injury you've sustained. A humble "thank you" for your courage and humanity is all I can say.
I hope you get well soon, and that you'd be able to get back to your wonderful art not letting this impede in anyway.

Emily! We met in Al Walaja and Sheikh Jarrah, I'm a Canadian activist who went to Bil'in for a conference in April/May.
ReplyDeleteI'm in Halifax, Canada now, and I'm just seeing your art work for the first time.

-Yael
ReplyDeleteThanks for the courage. Get well soon.
ReplyDeleteDear Emily:
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about what happened to you and I hope you feel better soon surrounded by the love of your family and friends.
Your art is beautiful. I know you'll ignore the haters who posted here. Thank you for your courage.
ReplyDeleteEmily,
ReplyDeleteSome people here and elsewhere have made cruel and callous remarks, but I hope that doesn't obscure the appreciation and regard the rest of us have for you.
I've been following the Mideast tragedy for some years and, as some others have said, your story somehow broke through and moved me.
You and the other members of the Solidarity Movement are true modern day heroes, people with the courage to stand up for what's right, courage I can't match.
Emily,
ReplyDeleteI don't know you, but I admire your courage, and wish you a speedy recovery.

My suggestion to Emily and others who really want to feel useful in the world is that you join the Peace Corps. You'll have to actually do stuff, of course--they won't laud you for just standing on the edge and blogging, but at least you'll be able to say honestly that you were part of something good and made a difference.
ReplyDeleteA day's worth of actual work on behalf of the poor and sick is worth years of just standing around pretending to be part of someone else's fight like you kids are doing in Israel.
Emily, your artwork is beautiful. Stay strong, and don't let the bastards get you down. Get well soon.
ReplyDeleteLove and Peace,
Stephen
Look, I'm not trying to be mean or anything here. I even have a tribute page set up for both Rachel Corrie and Emily.
ReplyDeleteI do sympathize with her physical pain and wish her a speedy recovery. I just want her to stay out of trouble once she's well again.
I hope you get well soon,

ReplyDeleteDear Emily,
ReplyDeleteGet well soon. I am really sorry about what happened to you. I am adoring your bravery and strength. You did something a lot of people can't dare do.
They will pay for they did to you. The blockade will be end and we will be able to run with children in Gaza streets.
You were not alone and you will not be alone.
I am praying for you. Get well soon.

Hello Emily,
ReplyDeleteI admire your bravery and resolve and am so sorry to hear about the injury these Israeli terrorists have caused you, I hope it’ll heal quickly.
Best wishes,
Juan
I heard what happened to you sister....much love...and thank you
ReplyDeletetake care! Love from Italy!
ReplyDeleteOne love.
ReplyDeletePay no attention to the neanderthals and other unquestioning supporters of violence and apartheid. Your stance was brave, and people the world over are praying for you, and for a peaceful resolution.
Get well soon.
ReplyDeleteMay God bless you.
God bless you, Emily!
ReplyDeleteYou folks saying "God bless you" do realize that Emily has rejected God, don't you? Back in 2007, she even posted Youtube videos to denounce God as part of an internet organized blasphemy campaign and she spoke to the New York Times about it as well.
ReplyDelete"Emily Henochowicz, an 18-year-old who denied God with a wry smile in her video, is among those who find the videos an interesting way to talk through the issues of religion and faith.
ReplyDeleteGod is with you!
God bless you!

ReplyDeleteAsking God to bless someone could mean guiding her to the righteous path.
ReplyDeleteDear Emily
ReplyDeleteI hope you will have a swift recovery. I applaud your efforts to stand up for what you believe in. You are an shining example for every one of us.
man, there's some hateful bastards posting here.
ReplyDeleteMore power to you, Emily.
I don't have words - this is so fucked. Sufficed to say, for now, that our thoughts are with you.
ReplyDeletePS: this is hardly the time, but you do phenomenal work! Hoping hoping hoping you're able to get back to it in time..
Dear Emily,
ReplyDeleteI'm terribly sorry to hear about what happened to you.
Wishing you all the best,
-- Michael from Jerusalem
Hi Emily,
ReplyDeleteI've only heard about you from the news and I applaud you for your brave act in standing strong against them. They may take your eye but they can never take what truly matters, your beliefs.
Godspeed in recovery and thank you for everything.
Hi Emily,
ReplyDeleteI hope you recover soon.

Dear Emily,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to add my voice to the many, many others who will be sending you love, prayers, and well-wishes through this ordeal.
Lots of Love,
Joan

ReplyDeleteI can't say I agree with what you did, or believe that your beliefs are right, but I'm sorry you were hurt. Best wishes, and I hope you get well soon.
ReplyDeleteEmily, I'm very sorry that this happened to you. I am a Zionist Jew and believe that we need to acknowledge the injustices we are committing in Israel/Palestine and need to work for change. I wish you a quick recovery.
